"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

The answer is that "it depends".  It depends on what is also going on with the rest of the shared hosting, the rest of the websites on that server.  It also depends on what kind of web pages you are serving up and how much CPU time they take.  On shared hosting you won't get any kind of guarantee of availability because you are Sharing the resources with a lot of other sites.

If you are attracting that kind of traffic, I hope you're making money from it because you might need to upgrade to better hosting.

we need to access page which take data from mysql database.
Dave BaldwinFixer of ProblemsCommented:
That makes it a bit slower than a plain HTML page because a second server request has to be made and returned to get your data back.

If you are starting a new site, then Godaddy shared hosting should be fine for a while.  Rarely can you get that kind of traffic immediately.  1000 simultaneous visitors is a lot.

actually we want to install online test application on hosting and about 1000 user will access that test.
Dave BaldwinFixer of ProblemsCommented:
Having 1000 users access it is not the same as 1000 simultaneous users.   The best thing is to just try it.  Just remember that it is Shared hosting which means that your users are not the only ones accessing the system.  You have no way of predicting how many users the other web sites on that server will have at any time.  There may be over 100 other web sites sharing that server.
