vlookup numbers to alfebets

Hi,

I am trying to use the vlookup function to return the respective Alfebets accorddly.
Eg. In the attached vlookup.xls Alan is 1 hence in Column F should return an A
and Peter got 2 hence in the F column should return B and subsequently John should return G

Can any experts help me out on this?

*I am using excel 2003

=VLOOKUP(E2,A2:A17,1,TRUE)

=VLOOKUP(E2,A2:B17,2,TRUE)
