No calendar pop-ups on Outlook 2007

Greetings experts.  There are 200+ users at this location that use either Outlook 2003 or 2007 on Windows XP Pro in an AD environment.  One particular user (of course it would be an elected official raising the stakes on getting this fixed) who is having problems with her Outlook calendar displaying pop-up reminders.  The pop-up reminders were working but slowly stopped until she didn't get any pop-up reminders at all.  Here is the list of things I have tried and am asking anyone to offer up any suggestions they may have to get this fixed as it has become a splinter in my heel.  Thank you in advance for your time.

Recreated her Windows XP Profile (had her log off, renamed profile to .old and had her log back in)
Recreated her Outlook profile
Verified her reminder settings in Outlook were enabled
Started the Windows Alerter service and disabled Windows firewall
Verified her AD account was not locked

We are using Exchange 2007 and no one else is having this problem.

I wear a lot of hats...

I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

also try and start outlook with the /cleanreminders switch

According to this article, the problem appears to be a corruption of the Reminders Database.

@setasoujiro: Your first reply is what I will test next.  Thanks!  I already ran every /clean* command from MS site http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/outlook-help/command-line-switches-for-microsoft-office-outlook-2007-HP001218589.aspx

@flubbster:  Thanks for the reply.  Will this solution work even though she isn't using a POP account but Exchange?

Should work the same

Remove update KB2583910 and then startup Outlook. Reminders should work fine afterward.

@yobri:  Just uninstalled the update and the pop-up reminders are back!  WTF is up with that?  Just so I know going forward....

Thanks everyone for your suggestions but I tried uninstalling the update as it was the quickest/easiest to implement.

It appears that the rather recent update causes the Reminders issue in Outlook 2007 and this fix is what has been recommended on the E-E board...
