When I do a msg tracking in Exchange 2003 system manager in TO it shows: /O=ENTREPRISE/OU=INFO/CN=RECIPIENTS/CN=STP99

Is that normal? How to make sure this recipient exist because sender receives a msg saying that recipient does not exist?:

Hi,

Go to adsi edit locate that receipient, go to its properties and check legacyExchangeDN value and compare it with a working receipient and make necessary modifications.

Nothing ever in the clear!

This technical paper will help you implement VMware’s VM encryption as well as implement Veeam encryption which together will achieve the nothing ever in the clear goal. If a bad guy steals VMs, backups or traffic they get nothing.

First open the account properties in AD ad ncheck if any exchange tabs are available to this user.
Also check if the accout is able to login to OWA.

No in ADSIEDIT the last CN is not the same:

legacyExchangeDN:  /O=ENTREPRISE/OU=INFO/CN=RECIPIENTS/CN=John X

I forgot to say the acocount has been deleted and recreated. Maybe that why so user may use the old  adr in Outlook cache. Does it make sense?

Yes, that makes sense, You can clear the nk2 files to clear the autocache or test using owa.

are we talking internal or external sender?

although the email address may be the same, the domain knows this is a different user account.
INternal mail doesnt actually use email addresses, but refers to the actual user.
if you reply to an old message or use autocomplete when entering the recipient, it wil look for the old user and fail.

you need to type the full address manually or select it from the address list.

Ya this due to cache in Outlook user.

Deleting contact in error in NK2 file with utility prog for that, use owa or adr list work fine.

Thank you to all.
