Change Domain Name After Install (SBS 2011)

During Initial install I was presented with a screen to type the local domain name. Our 2003 server is 1 letter too long where it asks for the local domain name. We left off the last letter. Now we are up on the server but the domain is a letter short of what it needs to be. How do I correct this?

You can't rename the domain in SBS server.

Then how was the old domain longer than what I can make the one?
What is the domain name you are talking about?  how long is it?
Have you looked at the 'Setup you Internet Address' wizard inside of the SBS Console, Network then Connectivity Tab.  Click your Internet Domain Name, then right side menu has the Wizard listed.

Can't we use RENDOM to get this task done ? I'm going to try this and let everyone know if it worked.
RENDOM?  Do you mean Netdom?
There is no way to change an SBS computer name or internal domain name.  Doing so will result in the need to completely rebuild or restore the server.  You are warned of this during the initial install before it accepts your choices.

I will ad you can change it, but once done the server is destroyed, AD, DNS, Exchange and much more will no longer work.
i am unable to get the internal domain name past 15 characters while setting up 2012   server essentails ???

why is that
NetBIOS has a 15 character limit.  A limitation since NT4.
