SBS 2003 Exchange 2GB Limit
Baffled, we are running Exchange 2003 SP2 on an SBS 2003 machine. A user seems to have hit a 2GB mailbox limit. There are no limits set on the ESM all at no limit. I have checked all the settings but the pst is stuck at 2GB. When trying to send mail it comes up with the mailbox cleanup wizard
To clarify - it the local pst file that has the limit ?
If so then its nothing to do with exchnage - its outlook.
Older versions of outlook did have a 2Gb limit - and if you simply upgraded outlook to a newer version then the old pst file )and the old limit) will have been retained.
You need to co create a new pst file in outlook and then import all the stuff from the old pst file into the new file.

.... also you say you have three other sbs 2003 boxes
how is this... you can only have ONE SBS 2003 machine on a domain.

Sorry for the confusion. We look after many sites currently with about 100 SBS 2003 servers around the country. We have never seen this error before. When we open the Outlook 2007 Client it automatically goes into the clear mailbox wizard as its hit 2GB. It has no local pst we can find just an Exchange mailbox on the server. All other mailboxes are fine but they are well under 2GB. We have checked the settings backwards and are a little confused. I have archived the mailbox to 1GB and we can send and receive mail again as long as it stays under 10MB attachment.
Sorry for the long time, I just had no idea about your problem.
If you still have the problem, I'd like you to create an Outlook Profile with no cache mode at all. This way we can be sure there is no pst/ost.
When adding the Exchange account, uncheck CACHE MODE
