Website Macro

Is it possible to write a macro or script to do the following?

1. Go to a website URL
2. Input username and password and click the Login button
3. Click a Link to download an excel file
4. Save the excel file

Any of that possible in a web interface?

Thanks

Its possible to write a script that would simulate user input, it would need to communicate via http and send the form date (username + Password) to the page listed in the <form action="pagename.php"> page. Once the new page is loaded, use simple functions to find the excel file, and then get that file with http

@Themrobert, Thanks do you know where I can get a link to an article or an example? If you can lead me in the right direction I'll reward you the 500 pts. Thanks

I'd search for web automated testing tools..

Watin, httpUnit, Fitnesse, etc. http://www.softwareqatest.com/qatweb1.html#FUNC

or if you are using Firefox - use iMacros - https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/imacros-for-firefox/

nothing will be "point and click" unless you choose a nicer, paid-for package.
