iTunes TV show copy to other devices

My family has 3 iDevices (iPad and 2 iPhones).
We use the same iTunes account for all devices.
My wife purchased two episodes of a children's show using her phone.  I would like to transfer them to the iPad, but the shows are not transferring to the computer, therefore I cannot get them onto the iPad.

Is this not allowed?  Perhaps I am missing a step... shouldn't this be as simple as attaching the phone to the laptop and letting iTunes backup/synch as normal?  That is all it takes for apps... (once the purchasing iDevice has synched, the apps are available to transfer onto any of my other compatible iDevices).

    Accepted Solution

You may download the TV shows again on your other iDevices for free because it can remember your purchase history. With in the introduction of Apple's iCloud, all contents that you've purchased on iTunes Store will be automatically pushed to all devices with same account.

Thanks. I found the shows listed inside iTunes on the devices and I has to download them directly, rather than through synching them with the laptop first.
