Sharepoint 2010 permissions question
Hi Everyone,
I have a company-wide common Site Collection in SharePoint 2010 that everyone accesses. It has the compnay calendar. In order to get all the functionality out of the calendar that we want, I can only do it by granting users Full Control to the entire Site Collection. I HATE doing that.
Is there no way to grant everyone Contribute to the Site Collection and Full Control to only the Calendar?
Thanks in advance,
Theo

What functionality do you need?
ASKER
I need users to be able to create their own Meeting Workspaces when adding their events in the calendar.

Try going into Site Settings, and under Site Administration, click Sites and workspaces.
In the menu, click Site Creation Permissions.
If you select Contribute as the permissions to create Workspaces, does that get you by?
