Installing Crystal XI error

When I install Crystal XI I get the following error
"Error 1904. Module C:\Program Files\Business Objects\BusinessObjects Engerprise 11\win32_x86\plugins\auth\secLDAP\secldap.dll failed to register. HRESULT -2147024770. Contact your support personnel." Abort, Retry, Ignore

I'm trying to install it on a Windows 2003 server

I have already searched in google and tried this steps and so far it does not work

have you tried redownloading the installation as it may be corrupted?

Why are you installing Crystal on a server machine?
The server only needs the runtimes or merge modules.

It is a terminal server. I have it on a CD and it works on another computer so it is not corruption

Get free NFR key for Veeam Availability Suite 9.5

Veeam is happy to provide a free NFR license (1 year, 2 sockets) to all certified IT Pros. The license allows for the non-production use of Veeam Availability Suite v9.5 in your home lab, without any feature limitations. It works for both VMware and Hyper-V environments

Was the other machine a terminal server?

How many users on the terminal server?

How many Crystal XI licenses do you have?

Do you have the Developers edition of CR XI?

Is it CR XI R1 or R2?

It is R1 but not the developers edition

The other machine is a Win XP pro

It is only one user who will use it but he is remote and needs to work on the local database

It is possible that the professional edition can't be installed on a server.

I assume you ran the install as adminstrator.

From the SAP site

1904 typically indicates you need an updated version of Microsoft installer.

DId you try clicking IGNORE?
The SAP site indicated the install should proceed normally.

Are you trying to install CR Server - The SAP site also indicated a normal CR install shouldn't be installing BO plugins.

Found the problem. I had to turn on DEP for all programs and services and then exclude crystal reports. When installing crystal I just ignore the error and after changing the DEP setting and rebooting the server it worked fine.

It is working now!
