USB 3.0 Ports No Longer Working on MB Need to Have Them..

just in the last 24 hr or so I noticed that the USB 3.0 ports on my Win 7 Pro 64bit system are not working.  How do I get them working as all the 2.0 ports work.   In device manager I have the NEC Electronics USB 3.0 host controller but the port stopped working.  I just downloaded the USB 3.0 drivers again from Gigabyte but I am waiting for your answers

Try going into Device Manager and uninstalling the USB 3.0 Controller device, then re-scan for Hardware changes and re-install the drivers. That should work for you. If that doesn't work then, assuming this is a PCI-E card, try moving it to another slot on your system and see if that resolves the issue.

bhartwell,,, I will try that and my devices are a USB 3.0 Hub,& 3 USB 3.0 externals that were working a couple of days ago that I want to use with this powered hub.

Try usb deviices direct, without hub.If this diesn't work either:
Remove all usb devices from 3.0 ports.
Try powering off the machine and removing the power cord for 15 seconds, then replace and power up.
Try connecting a device without the hub.  If that works, try with the hub.

What I did was to go to the motherboard web site and download their latest USB3 drivers. I then removed all the old ones from Device Manager and installed the MB ones and all is fine it seems now for 2 days.

Right on, i figured it may be a driver issue. I'm glad you were able to resolve the problem.

Well, another problem was that the one external that was having real problems, according to WD support is no good so they are sending a replacement and I will report back when I get it.  My other 3 drives.. LaCie/Seagate operate fine.

Well the new WD My Book works fine it seems, yet the new hub seems to overwrite the drivers for USB3 but the thing is, that the drivers it installs are not the best ones so I need to start over again and that is a bit troublesome.
