I need a platform for a developer's journal

I want to start a developer journal.
I want the blog to be based on wordpress and to look professional.
I have looked at several platforms like woothemes or studiopress but I can't select one.
What do you suggest?

    But I'm not sure how we are supposed to answer the question of what your interpretation of "professional" is?

    There are several good resources around, but I would suggest trying Theme Hybrid. Justin Tadlock created Hybrid and has become one of the most respected dev's. He shares the WordPress core values and it reflects in his code. There is a support forum you can pay (I think it's $29.00 a year), and get support on the hybrid site. If you don't have the money to join, his hybrid and hybrid child themes are still free.
