Hello, We need to provide alternative file server access to our staff from remote locations. We employ both MS Terminal services using RDP and also limited VPN access. There are a host of online document collaboration sites at a cost per user. I would like to explore any alternatives that will provide similar access to departmental files and folders on our W2k8 file servers without the high cost of cloud computing. File duplication is an issue hense this question to the experts.
What are the best methods of providing file server access to staff from remote locations using our existing Microsoft based infrastructure? Some may suggest sharepoint but this also involves extra costs to license 120+ staff.
