I have downloaded Windows 7 Professional from Microsoft but it is a Disc Image File. Since this is not an executable, what should I do to install it? Thanks.

You will need to burn the file to a dvd and then boot from the dvd to install. You can use Imgburn to burn it to disc.

Could I also copy it to a Memory Stick and use that?

That will not work as far as I am aware. When you burn it to a DVD it extracts it from the iso file format and creates boot sectors on the dvd allowing you to boot from the dvd in order to install the software.

Hi, according to this, you can create a bootable USB device. Burns to DVD as well.
