You can plugin an external monitor using the minidisplayport plug. I use a mdp->dvi adapter to add a second monitor to many iMacs.

I don't have this adapter and would like to backup using the prompt " root #" . Do you know how can i backup?
I think dd is the way to go. You may have to guess the disk numbers since you have no screen...
dd bs=512 if=/dev/rdisk0 of=/volumes/Nameofexternaldrive/internaldrive.dmg conv=noerror,sync

Rdisk0 is the internal drive. This will make one giant DMG file you can mount on another Mac. If you want to just clone the drive:
dd if=/dev/sda of=/dev/sdb

Feel free to read up on dd commands:

It works with your advice by using a Firewire cable.

It was perfect.
