Can I acquire and replace the NVIDIA Quarto FX 570M adapater in a Lenovo ThinkPad T61P, 6459-CTO sn L3-B1874 07/10?

I have a Lenovo Thankpad T61P 6459CTO sn L3B1874  07/10.  It has a NVIDIA Quatro FX 570M video adapater that has failed.  It has worked just fine for 3.5 years but is now displaying a farily high frequency flutter on the screen.  All the normal application data is intact as normal but is very difficult to read.  I have uninstalled the driver, deleted it's folder and downloaded the latest Lenovo driver, Windows 7 64 Ultimate. The problem persists.  Only when I uninstall the driver and revert to the VGA adapter does the problem stop.

Can ther adapter be purchased and field replaced? If so where and at what cost.

Thank you!

The 570M is integrated onto the system board but you can add a graphics adapter using the Lenovo Advanced Dock and a supported PCI-E graphics card.

It's fiddly though and of course significantly reduces portability.  Extensive discussion on how to do it and what options are available here:

To fix your currently problem though you'll need a new board which technically is a field replacement unit.  Depending on your precise model you'll need either P/N 42W7653 or 42W7877
See field service manual
