Entity model update wizard

I have been using the entity model wizard for some time now.  Never had a problem till now.  I would right click on my .edmx file and select update model, and the wizard would normally ask me for the connection.  But now it does not.  It goes directly to pick my tables and my tables are not getting updating..
Can someone shed some light on this.

Are you using Entity Framework 4, or 4.1?

Once the connection string is known, I didn't think that the model repeatedly asked for a connection string.  What happens if you create a new test model, and update that one?
