samba keeps on disconnecting users

Samba configured on Linux server, I have a program called Quickbooks the enable multiple user can connect to it, used by finance.  I use samba to share the quickbooks database to enable multiple user to connect to it. client laptop are part of windows domain controler, but Linux server is not.

multiple client can access the file through samba service, the only problem i have is; time to time, almose 5 time a day user get disconnected from the server, I don't know why.

If i run confgure quickbooks on windows server this doesn't happen, then this has to do with linux or samba configuration.  either because of domain access rights or other reason I am not aware of.

following is samba configurationpath = /directory
create mask = 0765
map archive = no
inherit permissions = yes
acl check permissions = false
posix locking = no
comment = samba share for company files
valid users = user1 user2 user3
public = yes
writable = yes
printable = no

any suggestion will be appreciated.

Please take a look at this thread:

The author was using a Linux server and determined that the solution had to do with Samba authentication on AD.

I don't know if that will fit your circumstances, but do be careful that repetitive disconnections can damage your ledger.  So until you can get Samba working in a test environment, I suggest you copy your ledger ot a local QuickBooks machine, and run verify, then rebuild. Once done, move it to a Windows Server and run it there.

In either case (Linux or Windows) you need the correct Server Engine installed on the server and you need to make certain QuickBooks is not operating in Hosted mode. Host mode is found in QuickBooks -> File -> Utilities.
