Windows Media Player shows videos in other media

I have a video which is an m4v but WMP is not showing it in my video library only in other media. Can someone help and suggest what I need to do to make it show there?

Also when I tried to copy one of my cd's (.cda) it wont show in library or lay from a local folder only from the cd drive

Hello Lico_w, add this clip to your library, which WMP and which windows do you have?
It may be because of the format WMP decided it is not an mp3 and has put it in the OTHER, or your library has become corrupted or you need to check the Manage libraries
Songs do not appear in the Windows Media Player library

In regards to the audio disc and CDA you cannot copy CDA off the disc to your hard drive they must be extracted and converted to mp3 preferred or WMA
The .cda files are representations of CD audio tracks and do not contain the actual pulse code modulation (PCM) information. Cda files can be played only from a CD-ROM.
Unfortunately, your computer can't store files in CDA format, so you still have to convert CDA files to another format to store on your hard disk.

Try using Cdex or even WMP 11 or 12
