Symantec Backup Exec 11d

I have Symantec Backup Exec (will call BE from now on) on a server 2003 box.
It is running a backup of several network servers (all with the remote agent installed) onto a NAS device on the network.
The NAS box is always visible from this server.
BE is pointing at its IP address.
Attached is the image of the error I get.
Followed the steps in the linked article number V-79-57344-33992 to no avail.

Anyone else have a fix. I have to admit I detest BE software because the error codes are so vague - could be this, could be that, numerous different "fixes" for the same issue.

Also - I have created a new B2D folder which did not work either.

Error 0xe00084ca and 0xe00084c8 occur during backup to an external USB hard disk drive with Backup Exec.

Apologies on delay replying.
The drive is a NAS device so none of the USB points apply.
I did create a new backup folder on the NAS box anyway to no avail.
Very frustrated with this - the product is just useless and fails more often than it works, but the client is not keen on spending anymore money currently (on a backup program that just works) so I have to try and make this work.
