"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Hello,

Can you tell us what backup software you are using ?
If it's NTBackup, we can write a Blat script that send the last report in your mailbox.

I won' t make the script because I just found a VBS one pretty nice. since both NTBackup and the script are run by the task scheduler in the same command file, the mail will be sent right after the backup ends.

Thank you! I was actually trying to implement this the other day but ran into some trouble... Namely, how do u schedule an event after nt backup completes? Is it possible to get an event viever entry ibstead of an email? What are the domain name and email that i need to adjust in the sample script? Is it local domain an destination email?

Sorry to ask so many questions...
