Hi All,

Just a quick question with regards to CRM Enterprise licensing.

Does the Enterprise edition of CRM Dynamics require a client access licence (cals) per user accessing the CRM? Or are the cals not required for enterprise version?

Thanks again

All editions of CRM require CALS.

In CRM 2011, the only two editions are Workgroup and Server. Enterprise Edition is in CRM 4.0

Yes you will need to purchase CALs for each user. With the Enterprise edition you can create multiple organization databases (perhaps for testing, development, training). The Professional edition only allows one organization. Both require CALs.  One User CAL may access all organization databases in a deployment.

Thanks for the update,  i just wasn't sure if the Enterprise edition already included 'X' amount of Cals?. So in summary you need to purchase the CRM enterprise server licence and then also purchase each user Cal?

Sorry for the questions I just want to be 100 per cent.

Thanks again.

Yes you do. I believe that it is possible to buy Enterprise edition with a certain number of CALs as a single part number in Open licensing but the pricing is no different than buying the Enterprise edition and the CALs separately.
