My Usb drive is disconnecting in windows 2008

My Usb drive is disconnecting (sometimes 1 day, 3 hours or 2 days)  but eventually it disconnect. I have try the following (describe above) but to see it again i have to reboot the server.

Os: Windows 2008 SBS.  /  anti virus: ESET mail security version 4.3.100.16.0

*in device manager I can see in disk drives WD 5000AAC external usb drive, I can unistalled and installed and disable or enable. but the drive will never be up and running I can not se it in my computer or  in disk manager (rescan or refresh)
*In USB root i have cheked the allow this device to turn off ...( is uncheck). Also refresh and reset.

Is it USB powered?  If so, look for a dual USB cord or even better find one that uses it's own power source.  What you are describing will often happen when the system can't provide enough power.  - too many USB devices for an already loaded power supply or a weak USB design.

not shared is only working for ms backup, tried different port.
All of life is about relationships, and EE has made a viirtual community a real community. It lifts everyone's boat

You mentioned your AV but it sounds like it only checks email.  Point being that many USB drives try to install some sort of backup or management software - AV could restrict and block access.

Grasping at straws maybe.  I would be testing another drive or testing that drive on another box.
