You can first install 2008 Server on the hardware, then enable the Hypervisor. After that you can run SBS 2011 as a VM on the same hardware. With the addon you get that additional 2008 License. Just make sure there is enough RAM, Harddisk and CPU power on that server. On the 2008 server you can then install SQL server.

What do you consider enough RAM, HDD and CPU. &nbsp;I've initially thought 8Gb RAM, 2 x Intel Xeon E5640 2.66Ghz, and Raid 5 with 3 x 450Gb HDD's.<br />

I have a client who needs SQL Server 2008 standard, but also would benefit from SBS 2011. &nbsp;Does the Premium Addon allow SQL server 2008 to be run on the same machine as the SBS2011, or would it have to be run on a separate server. &nbsp;They can only afford the one server!<br />
