Exchange 2010 out of space after migration

Hi all,

This weekend I migrated Echange 2003 to Exchange 2010. Everything was going as planned and I was able to test emails in both directions as the mailbox moves were completed. My problem is tht I ran out of space and can not receive any email. The database is not that large 50GB but the log files are what is getting me. I am running Exchange 2010 on one virtual (VMware) server, I have tried to do a backup with Backup Exec 2010 but receive an error that the database cannot be found. I have read several things telling me that if I dismount the database that my problem will be resloved but i do not have a bacup since I migrated and I am afraid that I will lose everything. Any suggestions
