asked on

Eseutil and jcb.dll

This morning I tried to run eseutil.exe /d and got the following (exchange 2003 server)
"unable to find the callback library jcb.dll"

After I hit ok the defrag continued.  It gave me about another 10 gigs.  My question is since I received this error did it actually do a full defrag?  Does  anyone know what the JCB.dll actually does?

thanks

Ryan

NOrmally its best to cancel the operation, copy a 'non-corrupted' jcb.dll from another exchange server (same version) to exchsrvr\bin folder.

I have also seen a corrupted pagefile cause this OR a pagefile sitting on a SAN vs local disk cause this issue as well.

You may also want to run ExBPA and see what it has to say about your system i.e. If ExBPA says you should have /3Gb and USERVA in your boot.ini, then you should put it in.
