We use SCCM for patch management. Once setup it works very well. To many third party applications we installed SCUP which is another free tool from Microsoft. We also bought a license for SCUPDates &nbsp;from Shavlik and it is great for patching everything from Java to iTunes. <br />

The above setup was a bit complicated to setup and does require an agent on clients. You may want to look into using WSUS since you only need a GPO that points clients to the server. Then for third party applications check out Ninite <a href="http://www.ninite.com" rel="ugc">www.ninite.com</a>&nbsp;

The issue being that WSUS automatic updating is turned off from the client side as we need to control some of the patches being deployed. &nbsp;Is SCCM - System Center Manager or another?
