RDP

Have Windows 7 using remote desktop to connect to application on server.  All of a sudden when connected, the task bar does not change, continues to show currrent taskbar and does not change to remote computer.  Server running Server 2003.  Was working and all  of a sudden started this.

Can you scroll and see the task bar on the remote server?
If so, log off and try playing with the resolution of the PC that is connecting to the server.  Then try reconnecting to see if this changes.

Alternately, is the remote server's task bar auto hiding?  Can you drag your mouse around and find it on the bottom, sides or top?    Can you hit CTRL + Esc to bring it up when connected RDP in full screen?

Also, try logging in as another user (RDP) if that is an option.  Just to see if it is user specific on that Terminal Server.

It is user specific, tried loggin in as other user and administrator, both worked fine.

Here is a quick fix.  Might or might not be an issue for you.
I would log the user out, rename their c:\documents and settings\username to username_old
Log that user back in and configure their new profile.  Copy anything from the _old profile over that you might need like Internet favorites, desktop shortcuts, etc.
