relay emails from application through Exchange 2010

We have an application that connects to our Exchange Server to send emails.

I just finished switching to Exchange 2010 and removed our exchange 2003 server.  I am unable to get the appication to send emails through our 2010 server.

I have receive connectors setup.  Client/default.

Our application has the following options:
username:
Password:
Mail Port
Email type:  CDO (SSL Enabled)
enable SSL.

how can I get this app to send emails through our exchange server?

The above link should help - as its best practice to create a seperate connector for email relay.

Is the IP of the Client PC that will send the email are listed on Relay Rights?

try first to telnet from PC to the Server and see if you can send a message via Telnet.

check this link on how to do so.
