HOW TO DO BACKUP ON REDHAT (OS) ?

hello,

I have never done backups on redhat.

I have to do backup (using dat 72 tapes )  on a production server. Do you guys have a good procedure or tools

Do you have any backup solution available in your company?
Or are you looking for a new one?

I'm using symantec netbackup, one of the best product on the market, but it is expensive, the smaller brother symantec backup exec is also not that bad.

yes I know netbackup is the best. But, all I have at the moment is an HP dat tape drive. So I am looking for an easy way to do a backup
