I need assistance on adding a policy on my exhcange server 2003 srvpck 2 for deleting all mails older that 2yrs. I am journailing emails and have archived all emails from users mailboxes to the archiver. I want to start out with 2yrs and then moved it down to 1yr.
Once the info store has been reduced then I will run esmutil on the store.

Exchange 2003 does not have deletion policies - or mailbox retention policies as it is what they are called in 2007 and 2010.

you'll have to archive them manually or if you have an archiving solution, youc an se it it to do that. once done, use ESEUtil to reduce the database file sizes.

Exchange 2003 does have those policies.  The KB article at, which is referenced in Ahmed786's link will allow you to do what you want.
