Exchange 2010 - Self signed certificates - OWA - Smart phones

Has anyone been able to configure ISA 2006, Exchange Server 2010 and self-signed certificates to work with smart phones? My client refuses to buy a certificate and insists on using a self-signed one. I am able to use that certificate in Exchange 2010 and exported it to the ISA 2006 server. I can get to https://mail.domain.org/owa no problems. I receive a Certificate Error message becuse the certificate is untrusted but OWA works regardless. On my droid I can get most of the way through the setup but receive an error for the untrusted certificate and if I select ignore my connection fails. The client insists that it is a redirect issue because he cannot enter /owa into his smart phone.  Has anyone successfully got this to work and if so how?

thank you in advance

Have you tried installing the certificate on your Droid?

Try the following link for instructions: http://www.realmb.com/2010/01/android-certificate-installer/

Self signed certificates are a nightmare.

It is not supported for Outlook Anywhere and ActiveSync is a pain, unless you start installing the cert.
If you have an internal WIndows CA, generate a cert that way and import the cert to the phone.

When you get a cert for less than $100, it is not worth the hassle.

Get cheap certs here http://certificatesforexchange.com/

there is one CA in market who provides SSL certificate at Free of cost

just register with them at http://www.startcom.org/  with your original details and you will able to get a free certificate for a year and can also be renewed after one year. hope this will help you.
