from the connections window - you can hit options, and from there you will have the option to adjust display size among other things.

You can fit it to a specific size, or to just use the full screen.

With windows 7 or RDP7, and with certain servers, you can even use multiple monitors.

If you click the Options on the remote desktop connection window and go to the Display tab, set it to full screen and colors: highest quality. it should automatically adjust to the screen.

From the user side.

if you hit WINKEY + R to get the run box and type MSTSC - the remote conenction window will pop up.

You can get this window with start - all programs accessories - remote desktop connection

From there - there is an option button either on the bottom left or bottom right depending on the version you are running - thats where you can configure all of these options from.
