PayPal "Simple" web site payment

I have previously implemented PayPal Pro web site payments. I have a customer now who want's the "Simple" method (because it's cheaper).

I have great difficulty finding and/or understanding PayPal documentation on how to do this.

Can someone point me on docs about how to do this?

Websites Payments Standard and Website Payments Standard Button Manager API Overview should hopefully help.

Have the merchant checkout Websites Payments Standard and Websites Payments Pro. There are some differences.

You might mention the Quantum Gateway - it is a free electronic payment gateway.  You still need a merchant account, but that fee is $8.00.   The discount rate is 2.09% and Paypal is 2.9%, 2.5%, or 2.2% - depending on how much volume.  Plus the merchant can still process transactions on his secure website.

Thanks. I believe it's the "Standard" I want. The customer already has an account, etc., I have all those details. I followed the first two links; very complicated, I'm just looking for a SIMPLE way to buy something. Here is an example.

My customer is a professional non-profit org. They sell memberships, event registrations, membership renewal, etc. See attached image. This is the page for membership renewal, if we were using Paypal Pro.

How do I create the equivalent using "Standard" Paypal.

I have over 15 years of web development experience. It's AMAZING to me that this is SO complex. You think there would be a SIMPLE explanation with examples.

I DO NOT want those standard buttons. They do not apply. For example, in this case I want "Renew Membership". Other text will apply in other cases, etc. "Register" for an Event registration, etc.

Well, using Paypal Standard, everything is going to be done on their server.   I am not a developer, but I did sign into my Paypal account and found: Website Payments Standard Overview.  You are going to be somewhat limited to what you can do.

Also take a look at HTML Variables for Website Payments Standard and Button Manager API Overview - I am hoping those links will help. In there, it speaks about how to change the buttons, etc.

I am asking about monthly fees for a non-profit for a merchant account.  Are they already processing transactions on their secure website?

I called PayPal & figured it out.

It is simple.

Thanks
