Share a printer between 32-bit XP and 64-bit Windows 7

We have a user in a small office with two PCs and printer.  One PC is running XP Pro (x32) and the other Windows 7 Pro (x64).  The printer is not networkable but both PCs are on the network and members of the same domain.  Both PCs need to be able to print to the printer but I am having trouble sharing the printer from one PC to the other.  Is this possible to do?

1) Make sure the printer has both 32 & 64 bit drivers...
2) Attach the computer to either PC and install appropriate drivers
3) Mark the printer as "shareable" on the local network. Set permissions to allow access by all on the network without logon. If attached to the WIN7 machine, turn OFF password protected sharing!!
4) Install printer on the remaining machine as a shared resource from \\{server-name}\{printer-share}
with appropriate drivers

NOTE:  PC WITH PRINTER ATTACHED MUST BE ON AT ALL TIMES TO ACCESS THE PRINTER!!
