WordPress Administration Customisation

Hi Experts,

Is it possible to customise the back-end admin area in the WordPress system, I want to create a database managment system, and was wondering if I could add this in the backend of my website WordPress admin area.

Any tutorials, scripts, anything available to do this?

This gets towards advanced WordPress usage but yes, it is possible to customize the back end.  You can show or hide different areas of the admin panel simply by editing user roles.  To add or remove whole sections, you will basically be creating a plugin and dealing with the WordPress API.  Start here:

Depends on the level of customizations you are shooting for.  Writing a plugin for WordPress is simple enough.  Writing one that works and is optimized for the task will depend on your experience and ability.
