How to disable a new blank document in Microsoft Word 2010 on Startup

Hi All,

Does anyone know of any registry settings that can be applied to Win 7, x 64 running Office 2010 x32 to disable the new blank document in Microsoft Word 2010 on Startup?

I know the /n command line switch will prevent opening a new document but this is not a viable solution for a mass deployment.

As long as Office is packaged and deployed by something like WDS, you can use the /n command in a mass deployment. The icon with the switch can simply be added to the package.

How are you deploying Office to the masses? If you package, what tool are you using (eg Wise)?

I don't know of any registry settings to do what you request.

Thank you, we are currently looking at moving to SCCM. Currently the business doesnt own any packageing software, but the a case for getting one is growing more and more with a new MOE rollout via SCCM.
