Packetfence help needed
hey experts, my first question here.
trying to test packetfence Network Access Control software, but it is Linux based and I am Windows guy :-)
I downloaded ZEN vmware appliance from http://www.packetfence.org/download/vmware_appliance_zen.html and having difficulties getting it up. There is no real guide there, things like "make sure you have it properly blah blah" doesnt tell me much- what commands do I use? I installed VMware player 4, downloaded and unzipped appliance and started it up. I cannot ping my VM and anything from my VM. I know few Linux commands, found IP address using "ifconfig" but whats next?

yes there was and I went through it to the end. I think packetfence ZEN comes pre-configured though. Still cannot ping any of the IPs. I have feeling that its something wrong with VM player
