How to improve latency in Hyper-V virtual machine? It is very high.

It's hard to see the performance of an individual Hyper-V virtual machine through the Server Manager->Diagnostic->Reliability and Performance module.

The following are pings from the VM which is ridiculously high.

Pings from the Hyper-V host is fine and normal.

Possible Solutions:

Microsoft recommends to use the “/usepmtimer” flag in the boot.ini of the respective guest OS in order to avoid similar issues.

Assign a single core CPU to the virtual machine.

Disalbe TCP offloading if enabled.
