Hi I tried to update the java on our system from 26 to update 27 32 & 64bit but it is throwing up the error of 2753 regutils,

I don't really want to alter the registry, is there anyway of getting around this?

You might be forced to touch the registry if you have corruption. I would completely remove the older version and install the newer. See

I would remove the version 27 and return to the previous one if it worked OK with that.
Unless you have specific reason to upgrade, it is better not to do the upgrade, especially between these minor versions.
It is very rare case that you'll really need 27 rather than 26.
