SCCM - Configuration Manager

I have SCCM 2007 SP2 installed on our server - Working great.

I want to be able to give my helpdesk the "Configuration Manager Console on there machines.

Currently a couple of the RDP into the server but I dont want this.

I have installed this before but cant for the life of me remember how to do this.

So in a nut shell I want to install the configuration manager so they can use the remote software.

Pls check this..

Installation screen you will get a option to install admin console. It will allow users can access SCCM remotely without RDP SCCM server.

You have to use the same sources which you used when installing the SCCM Server. Execute them on a Client and choose the Admin Console as i posted in the link

For this you have to use Collection instance permissons "use remote tools"

Hi,

In order to give an SCCM console and access to a person/group of persons ensure the following:

1) Add the account/group in the Permitted Viewers group of Configuration Manager or the local "Remote Control Users" group on the site server (this is a standard windows o/s group not a CM one)
2) Adjust DCOM access for the above group by running dcmcnfg.exe on the site server and giving the privileges listed in here: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb680755.aspx.
3) Install the console on the helpdesk persons by running the Configuration Manager setup from the distribution cd/dv and select "Install console" (if it is a workstation class o/s this is the only option available).
4) Check that everything is working ok and iron out any details by following the technet' article in #2 (http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb680755.aspx).

Hope these will help you.
