Lotus Notes Formula - Hidden Action

Hi again.

The document have the following fields: "txtDocOwners", "txtDocEditors", and they basicaly contain Roles.
Some Actions Buttons on the document should appear to "txtDocOwners", and some appears to both.

So if I may request, I need the formula where it can hide a particular Action Button if the Document IsNewDoc or the current User doesn't have any of the Roles specified in both fields.

Many thanks in advance.

Oh, the txtDocOwners-field isn't multi-value?

Try this then:

do:= @Explode(txtDocOwners; ";");
de:= @Explode(txtDocEditors; ";");
@IsNewDoc | @IsNotMember(@Trim(@Unique(de:do)); @UserRoles)

Or make sure that thise fields are multi-value fields.

Could you give this a try:

@IsNewDoc | @IsNotMember(@Trim(@Unique(txdDocEditors:txtDocOwners)); @UserRoles)

Thanks sjef_bosman, I'm just waiting my colleague to create a test ID file so I can test the Roles.

I'll let you know as soon as possible. Cheers.

OK I tried several scenarios and it didn't work. Just to make it a bit more clear. I ommited the @IsNewDoc, I can control that through Button script and exit sub if the back-end doc doesn't exist yet.

For the sake of example, txtDocOwners = "[CRT_Admins];[CRT_BudgetE]", txtDocEditors = "[CRTCIVEditor]", so if user have one of these Roles compined, user can see the Button.

With your formula, user with [RBBCIVEditor] was not able to see the Button. Any idea's?

OK cool, I fixed all the fields to multi-value, and its working nice now, just a question though, why the Button disappears in Read Mode, I have to edit the document for the Button to appear ?

That does not depend on this formula, so better look elsewhere. Maybe one of the other Hide conditions is ticked?

I made sure all of them are ticked off, but I'll check it out.. many thanks for your support mate. Cheers.
