Right-click the job, and select "Hold Schedule"

At the top of the Backup Exec Screen, click Job Monitor. If the job is active, it will be highlighted in Blue. If it's not running, it will be black. If the job is running, you normally can't put it on hold. In this case, you would need to right click the job and select cancel and rereun it when you are ready or let it restart according to the schedule setup for the job.

Hope this helps.
