E-mail signatures with hosted images

Hi Experts,

Is there any way to tell Outlook 2007 to not wait for images to be downloaded before sending an e-mail?

The reason I ask is because we use an application that automatically appends all outgoing e-mail with a footer image. This image is hosted on our website, and is about 50KB. When our users reply to an e-mail that already has this footer within it, Outlook sometimes hangs for up to 30 seconds after clicking the Send button, depending on how many times the image exists.

It appears to be waiting for the images to be fully downloaded before sending the message.

Any option in Outlook that could affect this?

No. Unfortunately there is no option in Outlook which will allow you to prevent the downloading of file.
