Is it possible to create document library or list and store attachments (files) on network folder (or local folder) but not in sql database?

I want only to store files from one list/library to be stored outside sql database.

Best Regards

You can store the documents on the n/w share and add a link to it in the SP list/library

Another option is to look at RBS if storage is of concern.

Do you have some step by step guide about adding it as link?

    Accepted Solution

You have 3 options for adding as links:
    1. If all the links are in a single folder, try using the page viewer webpart
    2. Try changing the new page
    3. Share your network folder using an IIS virtual drive, then you can use the http link directly to the file.
