Adding users to an LDAP group with java

I am working on a project where in I need to check if a particular user is existing in an LDAP group. If not, I need to add the user in the group.

I am relatively new with using JAVA and LDAP.  My activity is based on Oracle LDAP (oracle internet directory). However, the logic is same for all LDAP.

It would be really helpful if you can provide me some simple sample code for this.

Thanks and regards

If this is not already answered by time I get home later this evening (and find my old Java applications), I will post back as I have done this in the past using JNDI for identity management. In the interim, you can take a look at the JNDI tutorial:

If you have tried any of this yourself already, post what you have as that may speed up assistance here, especially if this is academic in nature.
