NPS errors during backup

I have a Windoiws Server 2008 R2 machine that is running SQL 2005 Express and is a Remote Destop Server and also a domain controller.

I was running the Windows Server Backup program to backup the data but needed to go to a backup solution where I can encrypt the backup sets. I uninstalled the Windows ServerBackuo program, rebooted and then I installed Roxio Retrospect v 7.7 Single Server with the optional license to backupo SQL, open files, etc.

I ran a test backup to backup everything but I constantly get the following errors when the C: drive snapshot is taken:

The description for Event ID 1 from source Retrospect cannot be found. Either the component that raises this event is not installed on your local computer or the installation is corrupted. You can install or repair the component on the local computer.

If the event originated on another computer, the display information had to be saved with the event.

The following information was included with the event:

Writer "NPS VSS Writer" backup failed, error -1101 ( file/directory not found).

The specified resource type cannot be found in the image file

AND ..........................

Retrospect tech support is useless in regards to these errors and wondering if this is some configuration problem on the server with NPS?

I can't locate the NPS database, NPS console or anything else regarding NPS on this machine. We are not running Radius....

Can anyone help?????
