One Domain pc, can't connect with mail.******.com site internally

Hello,

I need help with a laptop we have that won't allow me to open the mail.******.com/owa site as it points to a old IP internally.  The mail.*******.com/owa site use to point to 192.168.200.207 but we recently put in a new exchange server and that server's internal IP address is 192.168.200.243.

All pc's expect for this laptop can connect to the owa site internally.

I ran a ipconfig /displaydns and it shows that a record is set for the mail.******.com/owa site and its the old IP.

What can I do to release this old information.

** To note this also is causing out of office on this laptop not work function.

Please help.

CanusRufusCommented:
ipconfig /flushdns
then
ipconfig /registerdns  (this may require admin command prompt)

check your DNS server(s)and make sure there is not an incorrect entry in there for your mail server

Also if you have a DNS server, log in and delete the records and reboot the workstations.

Check C:\windows\system32\drivers\etc\hosts file on the machine connecting to old server

CanusRufus... I've done that a couple times already, but will do it again.

Is that one machine a static ip or dhcp?  If static is the primary dns server correct?

Ok issue was as simple as the host file.

it had the old record in there.

I feel silly.

But anyway thanks for everyone who posted.

Issue was host file, which I didn't even think to look at.  Thanks for the help.
