Uninstall IE9

Nothing works with IE9. What a piece of junk. I can't seem to un-install it. I am running W7 Pro. Don't see it in "Program and Features" nor on the left side under "view installed updates". How do I get rid of this piece of junk and get back to IE8?

    Accepted Solution

You have to do this through Control Panel - Programs & Features - View installed updates. Click on IE9 and then uninstall.

If it is not under "Installed Updates", it may be because it came pre-installed that way. Otherwise wc1954 is correct.

IE9 does everything for me that IE8 did and I have been using IE9 since it came out. So if Internet Explorer does not work for you, move to a different browser and then make the different browser default and not IE.

    Assisted Solution

    IE9 is better on Win7,

Open programs and features, turn windows features ON or Off, look for Internet explorer then deselect. Once its uninstalled look for the IE8 download.
