Ajax Toolkit

I need to install the most recent (compatible) Ajax .NET toolkit for VS 2008.

All this Nuget and binary-only downloads and such...I can't make it make sense.

Please don't just send me links.  I don't see how to install it and I guess I need some step-by-step help.

I've already been out on:

http://ajaxcontroltoolkit.codeplex.com/
http://www.aspnettutorials.com/tutorials/ajax/installing-ajax-toolkit-2008.aspx
http://docs.nuget.org/docs/start-here/installing-nuget

Just need to get it installed and working in VS 2008.  Thanks

It's all great until you get to the point (choosing toolbox items) where you browse out to the downloaded binary file...but when I OK, it errors with:

"C:\...\AjaxControlToolkit.Binary.NET4\AjaxControlToolkit.dll is not a Microsoft .NET module"

Yes, I see the ".NET4" suffix too.  But if you follow the Codeplex link on the page you provided (which takes you here:  http://ajaxcontroltoolkit.codeplex.com/  ) they do say:

"Visual Studio 2008? Download via the Big Green Button labeled "Download" at the right of this page. "

which is what I did...and which sounds like backwards compatibility to me...

Bah...found it.  You just have to ignore their crap about the "green download button".  You got to follow the "more..." link.
